Details About Your Appointment

Please arrive around 5 minutes before your appointment

  • Once you've parked, walk back up the lane towards the studio, come up the steps and straight through the studio door. Take a seat in the reception area on your right and we'll come and find you — we may still be with another client when you arrive

  • If it's your first appointment, we'll start by talking through what has brought you in, your symptoms, relevant medical history and what you'd like to get back to doing.

  • We'll then carry out an assessment appropriate to you before discussing what we think may be contributing to the problem and the options for treatment and rehabilitation.

  • There'll always be time to ask questions — we want you to understand what's going on and feel involved in your treatment

What should I wear?

  • Wear or bring something comfortable that allows us to assess the area we're looking at and lets you move easily

  • For lower-limb, hip or back problems, shorts can be useful. For shoulder or upper-body problems, a vest top can make assessment easier

  • Don't worry if you're coming straight from work or forget — we can usually work around whatever you're wearing

What should I bring?

  • If relevant, bring any scan results, consultant letters or other medical information relating to your problem

  • For running or sports-related problems, we may also ask you to bring the shoes or equipment you normally use

Treatment

  • Depending on what we find, your appointment may include advice and education, hands-on treatment, massage, acupuncture/dry needling or exercise rehabilitation

  • We won't automatically do all of these — your treatment will be based on you, your assessment and your goals

Payment

We accept card, Apple Pay or cash. We may ask for payment in advance of your first appointment, in which case you'll receive an invoice with payment details

We're also happy to provide a receipt containing our practitioner and clinic details — just let us know if you need one

If you're using private medical insurance, please make sure you have any necessary authorisation before your appointment and bring your membership/authorisation details with you. We are recognised by a number of major providers including AXA, BUPA, WPA and Vitality
